Jedi Jarom in Training

This was so fun to watch because it is right up Jarom's alley! I was the crazy mom on the sidelines completely beside myself when they picked Jarom to be trained! My heart was pounding and my hands were shaking. I wore the Perma-grin with pride.
Jarom got to fight Darth Vador! Can you imagine what that must be like for a kid? It moments like this that I live for as a mom!

Grandma Trena gets the Award for best Grandma of the year! She stayed behind with Jace while the rest of the family went on the Star Wars ride, and while we were gone she ran into Buzz Lightyear!
Jace LOVES Buzz Lightyear. At home he is always dressed up as Buzz or Dash.
Grandma was suppose to be getting our fast pass tickets for a different ride but decided to stand in line to meet Buzz.
By the time I found her after my ride Jace was the next one in line. I made it just in time to take pictures.

Jace was so excited. The first thing he did was point to his shirt and say: "This is you Buzz!"
He wore his Buzz shirt both days at Disneyland, just in case he saw him.

I LOVE Buzz too, because he made my 3 year olds day at Disneyland!

Thank You Grandma for making it happen!!!

Hobbit sends Grandma Trena!

The Hobi Hobbit pulled a fast one and emailed a second message Sunday evening.(read below)
We were totally shocked to see Grandma Trena standing at the door! She said a "magic car" drove her from Utah too! She had instructions in a letter to pack for 3 days.
She was just as excited to see us. She thought we were still in Connecticut!

You have another visitor coming your way.

This one I’m sending to you to stay.

Go take a bath and get some good rest

For tomorrow I will reveal the very BEST!

It’s Aunt Jessica’s Birthday and I do like her too

So take her and your visitor along with you.

Remember I hear it when you fight

Be kind to each other and stay in bed at night!

Tomorrow I’ll send you magic you’ll always remember

a camera you’ll need- be sure to tell Ember.

Hobi Hobbit sends family!

Sunday morning we awoke to instructions to be at a certain location for Brunch.
When we arrived we ran into the CHRISTIANSENS from Utah!

How does the Hobi Hobbit do it?

We enjoyed spending the day with them.

They were in San Diego attending a Teachers Convention.

Grandma Kathy said she received a note from a Hobbit to go there for lunch too.

Wipe Out!

We visited the Beach after meeting family for lunch. We didn't "prepare" for the beach.
Jennica and Jarom ran right out to greet it. Before I could even warn her, Jennica went under!
It was scary at first but very funny after.

Meltdown

It is obvious we are NOT in Connecticut anymore!

We’ve enjoyed the warmth of California. Yesterday we did our best considering the three hour time difference and serious lack of sleep. (Meltdown #1)

We went to an IMAX movie theatre and watched Monsters vs. Aliens with 3D glasses. Wow! That was carzy. I loved the effects but didn’t enjoy the movie.

We ended the day with Pete cooking fantastic Ribs! Yum!

This morning we woke up with more from the Hobi Hobbit.
He left the kids Easter baskets with tickets to an Easter Egg Hunt this afternoon, and some fun little Easter eggs of our own to hide.

It’s SUN, SUN, SUN today. It’s reaching 78 degrees. (Meltdown #2)

I can’t wait to dethaw in the sun. I’ve been looking forward to this all winter.

Pictures from yesterday:

Jennica and Auntie Jess.
Jen LOVES her! These two are more alike than Jen and I are. I think Jen really belongs to her.

Surprise vacation Destination

The Hobi Hobbit is so kind to us!

Yesterday we picked the kids up from school and drove in anticipation to the airport.

That Hobi Hobbit really knows how to plan.

He allowed enough time for us to get through traffic, park the car, forget a phone, return to the car, get through security, and onto the plane, with no time to spare.

Our typical Airport experience involves breaking traffic laws, running, running, cutting in line, and begging the Check-in worker to push us through, and entering the airplane with all eyeballs annoyingly watching and audible moans from passengers when three small kids plop down in the general vicinity.

Our tickets revealed our destination was Long Beach California!!

It was a LONG flight but the kids were troopers. We had no idea what we were going to do once we landed. It was 1 am at home and we were ready for some sleep!

On the runway we all looked at each other and and basically said: “Now what?”

As we were leaving the airplane a Stewardess handed Jarom a yellow envelope addressed to the “Hobi Kids.”

He was so excited! It was another note from the Hobi Hobbit!

It read something along the lines of rent a “Magical” car. It must be a “Magical” car to get us to our final destination.

Sam took Jarom and Jen in search of a “Magical” car while I gathered our luggage.

They found the perfect car. It talked to us and told us right where to go! The kids were beside themselves trying to figure out where we were going.

The clue also told us balloons would be at our destination. We drove for about 45min into a town called San Clemente.

The balloons were spotted in a sleeping neighborhood, and another note retrieved. It directed us to a house with instructions to knock three times and we would be greeted with love.

Jarom and Jace were more than eager to run to the door. Jennica on the other hand reacted differently.
“Oh no!” She said. “I’m not going in there! What if it’s a scary Hobi Hobbit?“

We didn’t know who, or what would be waiting for us. By now it was 4:00am our time (and the kids were still in good spirits!!)

The anticipation was so exciting. We stood on the wet, front porch jumping, squirming, and giggling as we knocked three times.

We heard the door unlock and ever so slowly we were reunited to.....

AUNTIE JESS and UNCLE PETE in their new home!!!

The kids were pleasantly surprised. How did the Hobi Hobbit get them involved?
(Auntie Jess said she received a note from the Hobi Hobbit telling her she was getting visitors that would knock three times.)

The Magic never stops! (apparently doesn’t sleep either)

Note: All the Hobi Hobbit notes are detailed poems-I’m not posting them now. I’ll add them later.

Surprise Vacation!

Posted by Picasa

We woke up this morning to a wonderful SURPRISE!!!

The Hobi Hobbit left his little tracks all over our walls and a party scene!

We found a letter telling us to pack our bags because we had a plane to catch today.

We were told to pack our summer clothes and swimming suits- so we know we are going somewhere warmer than here!

Jace thinks we're going camping, Jennica hopes it's Utah (I hear they still have snow, so I hope not), and Jarom isn't sure.
I say Hawaii!!! (fingers crossed)

The Hobi Hobbit also left a bag full of "Airplane presents" for the "pleasant" traveler!

So, we're off to the Airport this afternoon to find out where we are going. I guess we'll get more clues on the way.

Magic Water

Jarom is sick today. He has a head ache and ear infection.

I want you all to know what I DIDN’T give him.

Amoxicillin

or

anhydrous citric acid, carboxymethylcellouse, sodium, flavors, glycerin, purified water, saccharin sodium, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate, sorbitol solution.
(AKA: Benadryl)

I didn’t give him Motrin.

I didn’t give him Aspirin.

Why? Because I don’t know what all that stuff is made of.

Thanks to my Visiting Teacher, I have cured 3 ear infections withOUT a single dr. visit!!

And all in one day.

Thanks to Colloidal Silver, my pediatrician days are over!!
I am tired of getting a priscription for EVERYTING!

I'm all for learning about primitive medicine.

We call it “Magic Water.”

It looks like water, tastes like water, smells like water!!!

It is WATER and SILVER. (My kind of ingredients)

Just 3 drops in an ear and Whalla! CURE!!!

We drink it for sore throats, and dab it on cuts.

I KNOW what it’s made of and I know it works.

I’m on a mission to healthy living. That means I eat things in their natural color and I can pronounce/buy all the ingredients for it. (For example: Tomato sauce, cheese, flour, yeast, egg, sugar, water= PIZZA)

What isle can I find carboxymethylcellouse sodium??

And Why should my kids be taking anything that reads ACID???

Jarom needs to get well. Tomorrow he is in for a “Magical Surprise”......

A strange wind in coming in from the West............

It finally arrived!

The beginnings of my sweet smelling lilac tree!

Today Spring showed up! It was welcomed with gratitude, that’s for sure!
For the first time in MONTHS I felt great!

Warm weather and sunshine really go a long way with me.

I think it’s safe to officially declare my hibernation days are over.

I’ve already packed up the coats, sweaters, boots and pants, (that still don’t fit).

Good Riddance!!

I HAD to celebrate with you know what.....PIZZA!
We had a pizza picnic, played soccer, freeze tag, golf, and rode bikes.

Ahhhh.....my life has returned! I love Spring.

A Night full of Music

Last night Sam treated me to a night to remember.
I put on my diamonds and high heels and we drove to the City.

Who knew that the boy next door would take me so many places in life?

As we drove into Manhattan, I realized how lucky we are to have NYC at our finger tips.
Sam has taken me away from my small town life and is showing me the World.

My heart was full as I sat next to him an enjoyed the NYC Philharmonic Symphony. I loved every moment of it!
After the concert we dined at a French Restaurant, Jean-Georges. It was a perfect!

It's moments like these that make living on the East Coast worth it.

Day 1: The FRUITS

I’ve decided to break up with the Pizza guy! He is no longer welcome in our neighborhood! (Yes, we are the only ones that have pizza delivered in our neighborhood! This could be because the Pizza Restaurant is practically across the street. Further proof of how pathetic we are. )

My body is so messed up right now. My appetites are out of control. I crave sweets, I am tried all day and don’t
eat great meals.

Since my pants don’t fit me, and I will be on a beach soon, (too soon) I talked Sam into doing a Cleanse with me.

I call it a Fruit and Veggie diet. Sam calls it the Word of Wisdom diet.

For seven days basically ALL we will eat is fruits and vegetables. This will clear our bodies of impurities and stop the sugar cravings and then I’ll be on my way to better, healthy eating.

I like this because I’m not starving myself.

Today I can eat all day long as long as it is a fruit, except bananas. And I can eat all the veggie soup I can handle. The more you eat the better.
This is the soup. Pretty tasty.

Today is Day 1.

Exercise: Killer Butt DVD
Breakfast: 1/2 Cantaloupe
lunch: 1/2 grapefruit ( I couldn't’t down the whole thing)
1 cup vegetable soup (tasty with seasonings)
         1 cup water
                I feel full

Snack: Handful of grapes (Not my favorite fruit)
         frozen blueberries (yum!!)

I’ve been eyeing the freshly baked bread roll Jace made at pre-school and has no desire to eat! It looks so yummy.
I went through the cupboards and tossed the chips, girl scout cookies, kettle corn popcorn, Costco sized Trail Mix and HUGE bag of M&M’s.

After school snack: I put out a plate of cut up red peppers, grapes, carrots, hummus, and kiwi. The kids ate it ALL with no complaints. If only I knew it was so easy.

4:30pm
Pre-dinner:        2 cups of vegetable soup.

I felt great this afternoon. Great energy.
I worked up an appetite reading a Junie B. Jones book to the kids and by the time I was finished I was exhausted! (I get pretty animated..)

The soup was a welcome treat.
I have to pee a lot.

8:30pm
Dinner        1/2 cantaloupe
                 1/2 kiwi
                 1 cup water
I wasn’t that hungry so I didn’t eat the soup.

I have a head ache tonight. (Is this my carb with-drawl?)
My patience is thin. Good thing the kids are already in bed.

Sam and I had to make some more vegetable soup tonight to get us through tomorrow. He ate a lot more than I did.

Tomorrow is all Vegetables! I can't wait to dig into the broccoli. (Really)

humm....

Today I had a lot of things on my mind. Such as;

Why has this stack of bottled water been in the corner for 3 weeks?

It’s sad that I’ve mentaly accepted it as a piece of furnature.

When are we going to adopt the pizza guy into our family? He visits us frequently enough to call him family.
Why, oh Why, do I love pizza so much? I have a serious problem. I ate pizza 3 times last week!

Why did this neglected hallway suddenly become a putting range once I tried to vacuum?

How did ALL my jeans shrink!? What are the chances of every single pair of jeans NOT fitting me today?
Did someone say Pizza.......
I have gained weight and I don’t have a new baby or even pregnancy to blame it on. I even sent Sam into my closet to find something for me to wear out tonight. He too, stood dumbfounded at my misfortune. How does a considerable amount of weight suddenly sneak up on one?
